Hot Chelle Rae
Thanks to the recent release of their hit single "Tonight Tonight", Nashville group Hot Chelle Rae is becoming one of the hottest pop acts in the US. Whereas most singles of this caliber would come from highly anticipated albums, "Tonight Tonight" comes as a stand alone single that has all the necessary ingredients to turn the band into stars. The song has sparked a number of 2011 tour dates across the US that, combined with an ambitious start, are bound to find Hot Chelle Rae a few more fans.
Though they may not look like it or use it to their advantage, the members of Hot Chelle Rae have some big musical connections in Nashville. Ryan and Jamie Follese are the sons of country songwriter Keith Follese, lead guitarist Nash Overstreet is the son of country musician Paul Overstreet, and bassist Ian Keaggy is the son of guitarist Phil Keaggy. While the band took awhile to assimilate and create a uniform sound, the result became their much talked about 2009 debut album, Lovesick Electric. The album quickly became a hit and the boys were thrust into tour dates, photo shoots, interviews, and other promotional events that come with mainstream success. Instead of waiting to waiting to put "Tonight Tonight" on their next album, Hot Chelle Rae decided to capitalize on summer and release the upbeat, party anthem as a single with some hits from their previous album.
The result is not only a strong buzz running through the music industry, but also numerous 2011 tour dates with We the Kings, Big Time Crush, and The Script. The tour began in July and will extensively cover the US before ending on October 13. Be sure to catch these up-and-coming pop rock stars on their 2011 tour dates before they're selling out arenas.
Electric Touch
Electric Touch
Electric (e-lec-tric) – adjective; thrilling, exciting, stirring
Touch (tuh-ch) – verb; to affect with feeling or emotion
Electric Touch (e-lec-tric tuh-ch) – noun; Incendiary rock band originating in Austin, Texas fusing classic and contemporary influences resulting in a high energy live show and arena-ready anthems.
Their sound is often likened to Island Records label mates The Killers, along with Kings Of Leon, but with members hailing from both sides of the Atlantic this exciting 5-piece delivers a unique brand of British-American Rock music.
A bulletproof rhythm section is the backbone of the band delivering pounding beats big enough to fill a stadium punctuated by killer bass lines. Dynamic guitars bring angular melodies refreshing in simplicity one moment then exploding into frenzied fury the next. Vocal hooks and harmonies delivered like an urgent call to arms scream “The future is now”.
The songs are essentially tales of Ordinary Life in Glorious Technicolor. The stories are about Love and the human condition, with poetic lyrics depicting the many sides human condition is all its fortune, fickle and flaws
Electric Touch debuted at number one on FMElectric TouchB Radio with their first single, snagged the Number 1 spot on Amazon.com on the day of release with another, and have been invited to support Bon Jovi, The Bravery, The Fratellis, Airborne Toxic Event and Phantom Planet. They are set to take the world on in 2011 with an appearance at the Coachella Festival in April followed by a new album produced by Grammy nominated Producer of the Year Howard Benson on Island Records.
Shane Lawlor – Vocals/Guitar/Keys
Christopher Leigh Messina – Lead Guitar/Vocals
