Introduction to the Jeweler's Saw

Prerequisite: None Level: Beginner Instructor: Christina The jeweler's saw is one of the most fundamental metalsmithing skills.  Add new dimention to your work by creating your own simple metal shapes with and without negative space.  This class introduces students to new skills and tools, including the jeweler's saw, metal shears, jeweler's files and piercing tools.  In class you will learn methods for cutting basic shapes from metal sheet or blanks and how to manufacture your own jump rings.  You'll also learn finishing techniques to easily incorporate these pieces into jewelry. All materials and class supplies are provided and included in the cost of the class. Minimum age for this class is 9 years old Receive a 10% discount on all purchases the day of class!
