Join us for an in-depth look at your boat’s marine canvas and the role it serves in protecting your vessel and helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable time on the water. Topics will include, repair and maintenance of canvas, types of canvas work typically needed on cruising boats, design and construction considerations on new projects, what to expect, and ask for, from your favorite canvas shop, and which projects you can tackle yourself versus having made professionally. Mike is passionate about the art and science of marine fabrication and loves to share how high-quality canvas structures and covers can help protect your boat and make your nautical adventures as safe and comfortable as possible. When not obsessing over new ways to perfect marine canvas, you can find Mike on the water pursuing his passion for boating. Mike loves both power and sailboats. When not out cruising on his 40’ trawler, you’ll likely find him racing his 30’ Etchells sailboat in Bellingham or searching for crab in his 17’ center console.
