Osteoporosis and Bone Health: Facts & Food with a Doc and a Dietitian May is Osteoporosis Awareness Month! Come and join PacMed Doctor of Physical Therapy Ellie Forslund and Registered Dietitian Christy Goff for a well-rounded program on bone health and osteoporosis. This class will cover the pathology of osteoporosis as well as prevention and treatment options including resistance training and exercises. Next, move into the teaching kitchen to apply what you learned into everyday foods and a healthy pattern of eating. Through a cooking demo and tasty samples, you will learn about bone strengthening foods & nutrients, as well as recipes you can easily replicate at home. What To Expect: In this class, participants learn from a physical therapist and registered dietitian nutritionist about osteoporosis & bone health including delicious foods that strengthen bones.
