Swans

Swans is an experimental rock band originally active from 1982 to 1997. It was formed by Michael Gira, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who employed a shifting line-up of musicians. The band was noted for droning vocals and repetitive song structures. In 2009, Gira reformed Swans and in 2016 is releasing what he says will be the reformed band's fourth and final album, "The Glowing Man." The band will continue to exist, though, with a new group of musicians led by Gira.
