The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion “Advocacy Spectrum” - June '19

A review of factors that influence participation in diversity efforts. In this session, we will get in touch with what makes this topic meaningful for each of us and explore the concept of a diversity “Advocacy Spectrum.” Using this simple framework, we will identify actions we can take and skills we can develop that move us along the spectrum and toward bigger and more meaningful diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. Learning Outcomes: By participating in this session, you will: Recognize the difference between public and private advocacy Gain insight into your personal level of advocacy Identify 1-2 actions you can take immediately that will have a real impact Audience Managers, Leaders, HR/People Ops, Talent Acquisition professionals. Facilitator- Adrienne Kortas A seasoned professional with expertise in leadership development and talent management, I have experience creating and facilitating development programs for executives at Fortune 50 companies. As an executive coach and facilitator, I am regularly sought out as a resource for a range of opportunities - whether a 1:1 coaching engagement, facilitating training or keynoting an event. Most recently, I spearheaded Leadership Development initiatives for Amazon’s Global Talent Management organization, where we launched innovative strengths-based coaching and Annual Review processes.  FAQs Is there parking near the building?Please see this Parking Map provided by Galvanize. The International District lightrail station is also within 4 blocks of Galvanize. Will lunch be served?Yes, a boxed lunch will be provided. A small coffee gift card will be given to each attendee as a thank you. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?No, you do not need to print your ticket. What is the refund policy?The amount paid is refundable until May 28th. There will be an additional $50 fee for cancellations made after May 28th.
