Unleash the Siren: Dance the Voice of Your Depths
Join Vanessa Skantze and Susan DuMett for a very special transformational event. Saturday, April 20 in Seattle $75/ person. For those with financial challenge, choose our Bring a Friend Special and attend at $100 for 2 people ($50 each). Deep within you may sense a life force constrained, passions set aside, potentials untapped. The comfort of feeling totally at home in your body or the freedom to fully open and use your voice may feel distant, like they are experiences meant for others. Perhaps something happened along the way that made you feel like you didn’t have the means or the right to speak, to express, to give voice. Maybe something happened along the way and you lost touch with a sense of ease, safety, and joy ! in your body. If this resonates with you-- voice artist, sound healer and healing arts practitioner Susan DuMett and dancer, transformative yoga teacher and healing movement expert Vanessa Skantze invite you to a very special transformative workshop: Unleash the Siren: Dance the Depths of Your Voice. Together, they have created a gentle yet visceral approach to liberating the voice and the body. Their practice and process is designed to simultaneously validate your unique experience of disconnect/trauma, and contribute tools for discovering creative expression and directly catalyzing deep healing. From their own personal experience, and from working with hundreds of clients and students over the years, Vanessa and Susan understand that disruptive and traumatic events of life often cause a fragmentation within—between heart and mind, body and soul. This fragmentation can cause us to lose connection with the core of ourselves, which can result in disconnect from our bodies and our authentic voice. In Unleash the Siren, Vanessa and Susan lead an authentic exploration, honoring without judgment what may be held and hidden in your cells and bones. The work is intentional, intuitive, and compassionate-- and beckons a freedom to express what in many cases you may not yet find words for. As you explore intuitive sounding and movement, your body “remembers” the truth of who you are and opens you to new perspectives. You experience energetic and emotional release, a greater understanding and integration of self, a calling forth of personal and collective power, and the creating of space for greater joy, clarity, and creative expression. By the end of the workshop you’ll feel more empowered in your body and confident in your own true voice.
