SPECIAL COLLABORATION with Sule and Keith
KIKI VALERA & CUBACHÉ — Cuban Son dance music with drums, percussion and virtuoso guitar.
SULE GREG WILSON has been blessed to share culture and spirit with people all over the US, in Africa, Europe, and Mexico for nearly fifty years. He first performed African music and dance at age twelve in hometown Washington, DC., and has since worked with Baba Olatunji, the International Afrikan American Ballet, DanceBrazil, Sweet Honey in the Rock vocalists Ysaye Barnwell, Taj Mahal, John Sebastian, Mike Seeger, and more. He has produced six CDs of his own music and the DVD/Book, “Drumpath Rhythms: A Method for Teaching and Learning Percussion,” Later this year, the updated, expanded e-book version of The Drummer’s Path will be available for purchase and download.
KEITH TERRY is a percussionist/rhythm dancer whose work encompasses a number of allied performance disciplines — music, dance, theater, performance art — which he brings together to create an artistic vision that defies easy categorization. As a self-defined "Body Musician," Keith uses the oldest musical instrument in the world — the human body (his own) — as the basis for exploring, blending and bending traditional and contemporary rhythmic, percussive and movement possibilities.
